In this second message of the Fruitful Living series, we focus on the first and foundational fruit of the Spirit—love. Drawing from Galatians 5:22, John 13:34–35, and 1 Corinthians 13, this sermon reminds us that love isn’t optional or secondary; it is the root from which all other spiritual fruit grows. Jesus made it clear that love is our defining mark as His followers—our spiritual “jersey” that identifies who we belong to.

This message explores love as more than an emotion. Through Paul’s description in 1 Corinthians 13, we see that biblical love is active, visible, and costly—expressed through patience, kindness, humility, forgiveness, and perseverance in everyday life. From our homes to our workplaces to our online interactions, love shows up in practical ways.

Finally, we’re reminded that this kind of love is not produced by sheer willpower but is empowered by the Holy Spirit. God pours His love into our hearts so it can flow through us to others. As we stay connected to Him, love becomes the natural evidence of a Spirit-led life. The challenge is simple but profound: Will we let the Spirit produce love in us so the world can see Jesus through us?
