What We Believe

Preamble

God purposefully calls a community to be the Body of Jesus Christ’s Church, rooted in the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, with Jesus Christ as the Chief Cornerstone. Embracing the biblical call to gather for worship, fellowship, and instruction, we engage in ministry work and exercise spiritual gifts as outlined in the New Testament.

Committed to salvation, discipleship, and these foundational beliefs, we also firmly embrace the indwelling presence and guidance of the Holy Spirit. Our faith centers on the triune nature of God—the Father, the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Aligned with early Christians, we aspire to be a representative Body of believers, filled with the Spirit, cooperating with divine leadership, and sending messengers to proclaim the Gospel.

Our Vision

The vision of First PCG is encapsulated in the profound words of Mark 16:15-16, where Jesus instructs his followers to “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.”

Following Jesus’ directive to proclaim the Gospel globally, we are dedicated to reaching individuals from all walks of life, inviting them into a transformative relationship with Christ. Our mission extends beyond conversion, emphasizing the importance of teaching God’s Word. We believe in the power of discipleship, nurturing believers not only in the initial steps of faith but also in a deep understanding of the Scriptures. Through this dual focus on salvation and biblical education, our community seeks to fulfill Christ’s command to make disciples and impact lives for eternity.

Mission Statement

As a community of devoted followers of Jesus Christ, the First Pentecostal Church of God embraces foundational values rooted in the Word of God. Committed to the advancement of the Kingdom of God, we strive for unity, harmony, and a Christ-honoring approach in our service. Our mission is to be a relevant voice, reaching the unreached and sending the reached into the harvest.
