In Part 6 of the Fruitful Living series, we turn to the often-overlooked but deeply powerful fruit of the Spirit: faithfulness. Rooted in Galatians 5:22–23, this message challenges the idea that spiritual impact is built on big moments, reminding us instead that God values consistency over intensity.

Using the image of Old Faithful and everyday examples of dependability, this sermon highlights that faithfulness is not about talent, charisma, or emotional highs—it’s about showing up, staying steady, and remaining obedient even when it’s unseen or uncomfortable. Scripture reveals that faithfulness begins with God’s character, not ours. Because God is perfectly faithful to us, the Spirit produces faithfulness in us as we stay connected to Him.

The message also emphasizes that faithfulness is formed in the small, hidden places—daily obedience, quiet perseverance, and unseen integrity. From David in the fields, to Joseph in prison, to Ruth in grief, God consistently works through those who remain faithful long before the spotlight ever appears.

Finally, we’re reminded that faithfulness is measured by finishing well, not by comfort or comparison. The call is simple but searching: Where have I stopped showing up, and where is God inviting me to start again? This sermon calls believers to become “Old Faithful Christians”—not flashy, but dependable—trusting that a life of Spirit-produced consistency will one day be met with the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
