Text: Mark 5:25–34
Big Idea: Faith doesn’t just believe—it accesses.

Introduction:
The miracles of Jesus aren’t just impressive events from the past—they are signs pointing to His identity, mission, compassion, and victory. They demonstrate that the Kingdom of God has arrived, and they still speak today. Through miracles, Jesus reveals who He is and what’s available to those who believe. This series approaches the miracles of Jesus not as history, but as promises still alive for us today.

Main Points:

1. The Crisis: When You’ve Exhausted All Options (Mark 5:25–26)
A woman suffers from chronic bleeding for 12 years—physically sick, socially rejected, and financially ruined.
According to Jewish law (Leviticus 15), she was considered unclean, unable to worship, touch others, or be part of society.
But sometimes, God allows us to reach the end of human solutions so we’ll discover His power (2 Corinthians 1:9).
Her turning point came when she heard about Jesus—faith began to rise (Romans 10:17).
Question: What are you feeding your faith with—God’s stories or your own struggle?

2. The Faith Decision: “If I Just Touch His Garment…” (Mark 5:28)
Her goal wasn’t just contact—it was covenant.
She reached for the tassel (tzitzit), referencing Malachi 4:2: “The Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in His wings.”
She wasn’t just touching cloth—she was grabbing a promise.
Her faith was vocal: “If I just touch…”—because faith speaks (Romans 10:9–10).
Challenge: What are you saying over your situation—truth or defeat?

3. The Miracle Moment: Power Flows (Mark 5:29–30)
Immediately, she was healed. Jesus felt power (Greek: dynamis) flow out.
Many people were crowding Jesus, but only one accessed His power—because faith is the conduit.
Warning: Proximity to Jesus is not the same as connection. You can be near Him and still miss His power.

4. The Restoration: From Shame to Sonship (Mark 5:32–34)
Jesus stops, finds her, and calls her “Daughter”—restoring not just her health, but her identity.
He tells her, “Go in peace,” meaning full shalom—nothing missing, nothing broken.
Jesus doesn’t just heal bodies; He restores wholeness and worth.

Conclusion:

This woman didn’t wait for Jesus to notice her—she reached out in faith.
And one moment of faith changed everything.
Whether you need healing, restoration, or identity—Jesus still responds to faith.

Next Steps:

  • For the sick: Reach for the promise and believe for healing.
  • For the ashamed: Jesus calls you family—not rejected, but “Daughter” or “Son.”
  • For the weary: Your “12 years” ends here. One touch changes everything.
