Introduction: What You Believe About Jesus Changes Everything
Many admire Jesus as a wise teacher or miracle worker, but His “I AM” statements leave no room for Him to be just a good man. These are bold claims to divinity, rooted in Exodus 3:14 where God revealed Himself as “I AM.” Jesus identifies Himself as the eternal, all-sufficient God, declaring He is the Resurrection, the Way, the Truth, the Life, and the True Vine—everything we need.
Main Points:
1. I AM the Resurrection and the Life (John 11:25) – Jesus Has Power Over Death
When it looked too late for Lazarus, Jesus declared, “I AM the resurrection and the life.”
Even in our “dead” situations, Jesus brings life and hope.
If He can call a dead man out of a tomb, He can call your purpose, peace, and passion back to life.
Scripture: John 11:25, 43–44
Action Step: Stop putting a period where God has placed a comma.
2. I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6) – Jesus Is the Only Way
In a world of many paths and shifting truths, Jesus is the only way to God, the only truth we can trust, and the only source of real life.
Old Testament symbols—the ark, the Passover lamb, and the tabernacle—point to Him as the one true path to salvation.
Scripture: Matthew 7:13–14, John 10:10, John 18:37–38
Action Step: Stop looking for a Plan B when Jesus already gave you THE way.
3. I AM the True Vine (John 15:5) – Jesus Is Your Source of Life
Just like a branch can’t live apart from the vine, we can’t live or bear fruit apart from Jesus.
Self-sufficiency leads to spiritual dryness, but abiding in Christ leads to growth, strength, and lasting fruit.
Scripture: Psalm 80:8, Isaiah 5:7, John 15:5
Action Step: Stay connected to Jesus. Stop running on empty—plug into the Vine.
Conclusion: Who Is Jesus to You?
Jesus is more than a helper—He is life itself.
To the dead, He says, “I AM the Resurrection.”
To the lost, He says, “I AM the Way.”
To the empty, He says, “I AM the Vine.”
The question isn’t just, “Who is Jesus?” It’s, “Who is Jesus to you?”
Next Step: Surrender everything to the Great I AM.
